It is good practise to maintain your heat press with regular cleaning and greasing as detailed in your operators manual. This will help prevent your machine from premature wear and mechanical failure, in normal operating conditions.
However no amount of cleaning will prevent any heat press from failing over time and it is recommended that preventative maintenance should be carried out approximately every 12 - 24 months to maintain peak operating efficiency and to prevent spoiled work and lost production due to mechanical failure. Obviously this is dependent upon usage and operating conditions as heavy production and unfavourable operating conditions/ environment can significantly shorten the component parts of your heat press.
Unfortunately, usually in older out-of-warranty machines, no amount of preventative measures will stop a part from failing due to either poor operating procedures or component wear. If this is the situation with your heat press we can arrange for any out-of-warranty repairs or even despatch an engineer to your premises or place of work to undertake repairs on larger 'fixed installation' heat presses. Please use our online-form to arrange for machine repairs.
Very occasionally faults in manufacturing or parts can cause a heat press to malfunction or fail while in its warranty period but as each Adkins machine is sold with a limited warranty you can feel confident that we can repair your heat press and have it back in production. Should you feel that you require maintenance under your heat presses warranty you should use the online-form to contact us stating when and where you purchased your heat press and detailing what the fault is. We will then contact you directly and advise whether this work can be performed under warranty.
